Celebrate Recovery

What is

Celebrate Recovery?

Is it for me or someone I know?     Where and when does it meet?

Celebrate Recovery is a Christ-centered , 12 step recovery program for anyone with hurt, pain,  or addiction of any kind.  Celebrate Recovery is a safe place to find community and freedom from the issues that are controlling our lives.  Anonymity and confidentiality are taken seriously.  Who is seen  and said there stays there.

Celebrate Recovery has something to offer for everyone with pain in their life if they are willing to confront it honestly.  Besides dealing with alcohol and drug habits, including nicotine, people deal with anger issues, pride, sexual integrity, food addiction, sexual abuse, relationships, controlling attitude, and other issues.

Celebrate Recovery operates under the umbrella of the church’s direction and authority, but operates independently of the church.  CR does recognize the leadership of the local pastor.

The CR chapter that meets at New Heights Church has a meal together at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday evenings in the fellowship hall. There is no charge for first timers.  After that, the meals are $3.00. The meals are usually simple, but adequate.  It’s a good time to visit and make new friends.

At 6:30 p.m. we have large group, consisting of worship songs, reading the 12 steps or the 8 principles, and the Serenity Prayer.  On alternate weeks, there is a testimony from someone who has been helped in their recovery by Celebrate Recovery, or a lesson from one of the local CR leaders.

At 7:30 p.m., we divide into gender specific small groups for the participants to share 3-5 minutes at a time as they wish.

At 8:30 p.m., there is the Solid Rock Café.  Coffee, iced tea, and snacks are provided for one on one conversations.  Sometimes this is brief, sometimes extended.

Do you have a hurt, habit, or hang up?  Come and join us!
